Warli Art


I am very excited in sharing my knowledge about our traditional folk art.I got inspired by use of simple techniques, using natural colors and also the expressions show on the paintings conveys Unity, cleanliness and worshiping the nature.
Warli Art:
Warli arts are originated from Maharashtra, in western India. They used to paint on their pooja room walls and living room. It depicts the normal life images of human beings and animals, along with scenes from daily life. They also depict hunting, dancing, sowing and harvesting scenes. The materials are used by white rice powder for the lining and. All the drawings are in simple geometrical shapes.I have used normal canvas board, acrylic colors and decorated with beads and mirrors.

Materials:
Canvas Board
Warli Design sheet it depends on the canvas board
Black color Acrylic color outliner. ( If it not available you can black color acrylic color)
Any two acrylic colors for Back ground color. It is your choice.
Fine line brush
Beads, 3d outliner and mirrors
Method:
1. Apply light color on canvas board before dries apply very little contrast color start with a corner.
2. Draw the design on canvas board.
3. Draw the outline with a black color outliner or using acrylic colors.
4. Stick the beads and mirrors where ever you wish to stick.
